| Amy
has been an obsessive music fan since age six when she first started
scouring the pages of Smash Hits and destroying Kylie Minogue
cassingles with compulsive, repeated listens. Since then her tastes may
have changed but her fascination for music has never wavered. From
starting her own fanzine in high school and sneaking into the occasional
pub gig, she moved onto seeing bands religiously after turning eighteen.
Then, not content to simply be a punter, and after realising that she was no good at playing music, Amy decided to combine her love of rock music with a burgeoning love of photography and began taking copious amounts of photos whenever she saw a band. Amy has also taken to photographing the inner city suburbs that are home to so much of her favourite music. She loves to wander the streets, taking roll after roll, attempting to capture that which lies beyond what is immediately apparent. While songwriters sing stories of the places where they live, Amy aims to capture them in the frame |
